The Kato HD400 final drive is a complete unit of hydraulic travel motor and planetary gearbox, brand new and ready to fit. It is built for the Kato HD400, a crawler excavator of around 10.5 t.

Connections: 4 hydraulic lines, 2 speeds. Count them on your old drive before ordering.

Two speeds means slow with full tractive force for digging work, fast for tracking across the site. The change-over runs through an extra pilot line on the travel motor. Besides the two main lines for forward and reverse, every travel motor has a case drain line. It must run freely back to the tank, otherwise the pressure pushes out the seals.

Depending on year of manufacture and version, more than one drive can fit the Kato HD400. Before you get a quote, we check with you which one it is.
